Creating Tags

Tags allow for dynamic interactions with your platform through QR codes or NFC. Follow these steps to create and configure tags.

Metadata

Metadata is used for location identifiers, seat numbers, or other relevant information. Add metadata key-value pairs to provide additional context for the tag.

  1. Add Metadata: Click the plus (+) button to add metadata key-value pairs.

    • Key: Enter the metadata key (e.g., Theater, Seat).
    • Value: Enter the corresponding value for each key.
  2. Edit Metadata: Use the edit icon to modify existing metadata or the trash icon to delete them.

Activation Settings

  1. Increment Values on Activation/Save: Toggle this option to enable automatic incrementation of values upon activation or save. For example, if the key is "Table" and the current value is "1", upon activation the value will increment to "2". This supports both numerical and alphabetical incrementation (e.g., A -> B, AZ -> BA).

Save and Activate Tag

  1. Save Tag: Click the "Save Tag" button to store the tag configuration.
  2. Activate Via QR: Click the "Activate Via QR" button to activate the tag using a QR code.
  3. Activate Via NFC: If using an NFC-enabled device, you may also activate the tag via NFC.

Best Practices:

  • Ensure metadata is correctly formatted and accurately represents the data you wish to track or utilize.
  • Regularly review and update metadata to reflect changes in your operational needs.
  • Test the tag activation to ensure seamless user experience.
